Yeah, I guess it has. Well let’s get things rolling, then. Pictures!
I love this one. Such a great shot of his little face.
And then this one, with his happy baby face. He smiles and laughs so much now, it’s kind of amazing. Sort of the best thing ever, really.
Daddy and Gryff, reading stories. This boy has already read more books than most adults I know.
More reading together. I love that he just settles in with his thumb in his mouth and looks at the book with me. So cute!
Love this picture of him having tummy time, too. When he’s looking up, you can see the shape of his jaw without all the baby chins. It’s a good jaw.
More tummy time. He’s really good with holding his head and chest up now. He still doesn’t have the coordination to locomote or anything, but he’ll get there all too soon.
Gryffin sleeping next to Mommy. He’s so big already!
I love his expression in this one. And his chunky little thighs are too cute not to share.
This is Levi, our old man cat. He’s really affectionate, and will jump up on the couch to force Gryffin to pet him. Even if he’s sleeping.
Okay, that’s a lot of pictures, which is awesome. Because baby pictures are great. But what about everything else? Well he just hit 12 weeks on Saturday, so that’s cool. We meant to get him to Bosom Buddies to weigh him again, but didn’t manage it, and then failed to manage it again on Sunday. D’oh! We’ll get it, though. If nothing else, we can catch him on the 5th at three months, since I think most of the charts start going by months instead of weeks at this point anyway. But really, he’s just growing and learning and watching everything. He’s not even three months old and has been to the Renaissance Festival twice, an SCA event, an archery practice (last night), a farm, the farmer’s market multiple times, and has met dozens of people at our house or at other houses. Little dude really gets around!
He’s officially outgrown his 3-6 month stuff and now only fits in things marked for 6 months. Giant baby, he is. He’s still nursing exclusively (which I suppose I should mention, since I guess that’s not a given with most people) and he’s going to continue nursing exclusively for another three months until it’s time to start introducing other foods. He sleeps quite well most nights, only waking up once or twice to nurse, and doesn’t complain about diaper changes or anything. That’s pretty nice. He’s in disposables overnight still, and they keep him comfortable enough to let us stay in bed through the night, which is awesome. I don’t mind getting up to change him if he needs it, but if he’s not bothered by it then I’m just going to sleep on through.
Okay, that’ll do it for now. Thanks for reading and I’ll try to check in again soon!
